3.5 Acre Roadside Site Sale in Eastbourne to Lok’n’Store

Acting on behalf of international heat transfer, separation and fluid handling specialists - Alfa Laval Ltd – Flude Property Consultants have concluded the sale of our Birch Road, Eastbourne site.
The property comprised 83,000 sq ft of industrial, warehouse and office buildings on a 3.48 acre site. It benefitted from a substantial frontage to the A2290 Lottbridge Drove. Alfa Laval sold the site as part of a relocation and property modernisation strategy.
Lok’n’Store have purchased the site for £5.525 million. They plan to redevelop part of the site with a new state of the art self-store for relocation of their current premises in nearby Hawthorn Road, where Lok’n'Store have provided storage services to business and household customers in Eastbourne for over 20 years.
Director, Andrew Halfacree, commented, “The prominent roadside position of the property in an established retail and trade location added to its appeal. There was strong interest and 17 offers were received. Lok’n’Store were chosen as the preferred purchaser and proved to be a very reliable, proactive and pragmatic purchaser in addressing various issues that arose during the sale process.”
