Chichester City Centre Multi-Let Investment Sold

Monday 12 October 2026

A prominent freehold city centre investment in the heart of Chichester has been successfully sold for in excess of £1.5 million, underlining continued demand for well-let mixed-use assets across the South East.

The transaction involved 42 South Street and 1 Old Market Avenue, a multi-let Class E investment situated in Chichester city centre. The property comprises a fully let mixed-use building extending to approximately 8,227 sq ft, with a diverse occupier profile including restaurant, office and leisure uses.

The sale was handled by Mark Minchell of Flude Property Consultants, acting on behalf of the vendor. The purchaser was a private property company based on the south coast.

Mark Minchell commented: “The building was originally constructed by our client’s family for their own business, incorporating an owner’s flat on the top floor, which has subsequently become the Chichester office of Flude. This represents the first sale of the property in its 60-year history since construction. The property is now fully let to a diverse mix of restaurant, leisure and office occupiers, providing the new owner with a well-balanced range of tenant types and a strong addition to their investment portfolio.”
